1968 Moonphase collection. A new phase for AV86

The design

Colors of the moon

The 1968 Moonphase Collection reinterprets a classic complication with a fresh and modern edge.

Each edition features a bold guilloché dial that plays with light and depth, revealing intricate details with every glance and giving every watch its own character.

Balanced proportions, symmetrical subdials, and a curved case create a harmonious silhouette on the wrist. Sophisticated yet contemporary, the design elevates the traditional moonphase into a versatile statement piece.

The moon's cycle: 29.53059 days

Moonphase complication explained

The moonphase indicator shows the current phase of the moon as seen from Earth, using a rotating disc with a moon and stars visible through a cutout on the dial. It advances slightly each day to match the real moon’s 29.5-day cycle. While mostly decorative today, it nods to early watchmaking, when moonphase tracking was used for navigation and calendars.

Each edition of the 1968 Moonphase Collection launches with a limited stock of just 150 pieces available for immediate delivery.

History

Our history with Moonphase watches began in 2018 with a defining collaboration with Frédérique Constant. In early 2025, we released the limited edition 1968 Moonphase. 250 pieces that vanished almost instantly.

The 1968 Moonphase collection is an answer to demand with the new 1968 Moonphase Collection: a modern reinterpretation in four editions that elevate a classic complication.

Our mission

Keeping track of the moments in time

By creating the alternative to the watch in the safety box, we have a vision to be relevant today, tomorrow and beyond. A focus to make simple, affordable, yet spectacular timepieces that last a lifetime. For us, vintage is not just a reference of style; it is the journey to becoming it. The journey will take you through eventful moments and memorable days to occasions that change your whole perspective. We hope that one day your watch will make you look back at it all.

Make moments, give it history - let it become vintage.

TIMELESS DESIGN

BUILT TO LAST

STEEL & GOLD

We use 316L surgical-grade stainless steel from Finland, which is commonly used for fine watches and jewelry worldwide. Additionally, our models with gold plating are, of course, made with genuine ISO-certified gold plating, ensuring that the precious metals can withstand the test of time.

SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL

We only use highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on all our models, combined with an anti-reflective coating for better visibility. Our products are made with Japanese precision. It may be expensive, but it is the key to lifelong quality.

MOVEMENTS (CALIBER)

We carefully select Swiss and Japanese-made quality movements, as they are simply the best in the world. We choose specific calibers from Miyota, Sellita, and TMI that have been real-world tested and proven to be 'workhorses' for optimal durability.

A-GRADE FACTORIES

We use A-grade factories and suppliers for all components, making a difference in all the small but important details. Everything, from the feel of the round steel edges to the quality feel and weight of the bracelets, dial details, quality control, and certified work environment ethic.

+100.000 happy customers

We’re deeply grateful to every customer who has supported us throughout our decade-long journey. One of the greatest rewards is hearing your positive feedback, and we’re honoured that so many of you take the time to share your experiences with our watches.

No tools needed

New look in seconds

All our watches are made with a quick release system for the straps and bracelet. This means, you can easily change between straps or bracelets, to give your watch a whole new look. Pop on the silicone strap for sport activities and change it to the steel bracelet for the night out.

Tell your own story

Free engraving

Every moment counts, and every watch tells a story. With our complimentary engraving service, your timepiece becomes more than just a way to track hours and minutes; it becomes a personal testament to your journey. Whether it's a date, a name, or a special message, we'll engrave it on the case back, turning your watch into a timeless keepsake. It's our way of helping you mark those eventful moments and memorable days. After all, our mission is not just about creating watches, but about making moments. Let your watch be a reflection of your story, and one day, let it become vintage.
