Giving back
Denmark is a small country surrounded by a huge ocean. That is why the ocean and its wildlife have always acted as a great inspiration for us here at About Vintage. When we launched the first Turtle watch, we were blown away by its success. Therefore, we decided that we with our Turtle watches want to give back to one of the most magnificent creatures living under the water surface; the turtles.
Partnership with Turtle Foundation
Supporting the Turtle Foundation means something truly special for us. Turtle Foundation is an alliance of cooperating organisations, working to protect the world’s sea turtles. With our donation, we support The Sustainable Sea Turtle Conservation Programme located in East-Borneo. Here, we take part in the mission of saving the endangered species, Green Turtle. Together with Turtle Foundation we work toward a future where sea turtles and their habitats are sustainably protected, healthy and safe from threat of extinction and destruction. For each watch sold, we ensure that 20 turtle hatchlings can get a safe start in life.
The Blue Turtle Launch
The decision to support Turtle Foundation was made in connection with the launch of our 1815 and 1926 Blue Turtle. And yet again, Turtle dial proved to be very popular, and the launch was very successful. With the launch of the 1815 and 1926 Blue Turtle, we saved more than 20.000 hatchlings. We (and probably the turtles as well) are very grateful for all the support we experienced during the launch.
Certificate from Turtle Foundation
When buying a Turtle watch, we send you an official certificate from Turtle Foundation proving your donation, which will help them save 20 turtle hatchlings.
