Water resistance is measured in ATM (atmospheres) and metres. These ratings indicate the pressure a watch can withstand under test conditions, not how deep you can take it underwater.
-
3 ATM / 30 metres: Resistant to rain and everyday splashes. Not suitable for swimming or showering.
-
5 ATM / 50 metres: Suitable for splashes and brief water contact. Not recommended for swimming or showering.
-
10 ATM / 100 metres: Suitable for swimming and surface water activities. Not suitable for diving.
-
20 ATM / 200 metres: Suitable for swimming, snorkelling and more demanding water activities. Not necessarily suitable for scuba diving.
A few things to keep in mind
Always ensure the crown is fully closed before water exposure. Avoid hot water, showers and saunas, and never operate the crown or pushers underwater.
Water resistance can decrease over time as seals age or wear. We recommend having your watch checked after servicing or opening the case.
